Five Times Two ( 5 x 2 )

Gilles and Marion have just filed for divorce. As the judge declares their marriage over we follow the couple through five flashbacks, reversing through their relationship until we end up at their first promising meeting, many years earlier. Nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival this anatomy of a marriage is an intriguing, compelling and, at times, brutal romantic drama, told from end to beginning with great performances from the two leads, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi and Stephane Freiss.
