The Matador
Pierce Brosnan gleefully takes the mick out of his suave Bond/Remington Steele persona, as Julian Noble, an international gun-for-hire, who's past his peak and falling apart. When he meets down-on-his-luck businessman Danny (Greg Kinnear), Julian is jealous of his simple life and wants to befriend him - which all goes swimmingly until Danny finds out what Julian does for a living. A smart black comedy with infectious performances from all, including Hope Davis as Danny's long-suffering wife.
