Richard Carpenter's ethereal, mist-shrouded take on the Robin Hood legend stars Michael Praed as the forest-dwelling Robin of Loxley - troubled and brooding, and chosen by the great god Herne to defend England's peasants from the Normans. His merry crew are somewhat scruffier and more dangerous than we've seen them before, including Ray Winstone as the stoic Wil Scarlet, Mark Ryan as the dual sword-weilding Nasir and Peter Llewellyn Williams as Loxley's young foster brother, Much. With a fitting soundtrack from '80s, new-age celt phenomenon, Clannad. Includes all 6 episodes from the first season.
