Stalking purposefully through the corridors of power with him are press secretary CJ (Alison Janney), Deputy Communications Director Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe), Presidential Aide Charlie Young (Dule Hill) and First Lady, Abigail, played by Stockard Channing. A liberal dream-team, fighting back the conservative old guard gave cynical American viewers a refreshingly naive view of politics with its popular 22-episode first season run garnering 18 Emmy nominations and 9 wins, including Outstanding Drama Series. Created by Aaron Sorkin and produced by the team who brought us 'ER'.
