Piccadilly Jim

Based on the novel by P.G. Wodehouse, Sam Rockwell is American ne'er-do-well Jim Crocker, living in London with his social-climbing mother (Allison Janney) and tolerant father (Tom Wilkinson). A complex plot involving romantic schemes and assumed identities is a little too loose-limbed to be cohesive, but the cast is a charming and talented ensemble headed by Rockwell, who is clearly having a good time, with Frances O'Connor as the object of his affection and support from Brenda Blethyn, Geoffrey Palmer, Hugh Bonneville, Tom Hollander and Kevin Eldon.
