Duane Hopwood

David Schwimmer shakes off his cutesy 'Friends' image to play a down-on-his-luck divorced dad in this comedy/drama in which he works the night shift at Caesar's Palace as a pit boss. Crushed after his failed marriage to Linda (Janeane Garofalo), his vistation rights are threatened after he is caught drunk driving. Moving, humourous and critically lauded, this downbeat celebration of life found itself on Roger Ebert's Best of the Year list for 2005 and deserves to find its audience.
