Stephanie Daley

Stephanie (Amber Tamblyn) is a 16-year-old girl, charged with concealing a pregnancy and then murdering her newborn child. She claims she knew nothing of the pregnancy and the baby was stillborn, so the court orders psychologist Lydie Crane (Tilda Swinton) to interview and assess the girl. Lydie has issues of her own around pregnancy and is dealing with a crumbling marriage as the pro-life and pro-choice lobbies threaten to turn the trial into a media circus, in this challenging, deeply personal drama with a tragic and captivating mystery at its heart.
