Away From Her

When she is diagnosed with having Alzheimer's disease, loving wife Fiona is sent to live in a nursing home. Separated from her devoted husband for the first time in nearly 50 years, she is forced to spend a month with visitors due to a policy that the facility has. But when Fiona seems to have forgotten her spouse and fallen for a fellow patient, her spouse makes a stunning sacrifice in order to ensure her happiness. Powerful drama stars Julie Christie, Gordon Pinsent, Olympia Dukakis; directed by Sarah Polley (who also scripted).
