The Painted Veil
In 1920s Shanghai, a British doctor (Edward Norton) learns of his wife's (Naomi Watts) infidelity with a charming politician (Liev Schreiber). Norton angrily drags her along when he's posted to a remote cholera-ravaged region of China, where the young couple struggles to keep their relationship alive, even when faced with news of Watts' pregnancy. This compelling drama, based on a W. Somerset Maugham novel, also stars Diana Rigg, Toby Jones.
