My Blueberry Nights

Wong Kar-wai's first English-language film stars Norah Jones as a girl with a broken heart who decides to put as much space between her and her troubles as she can. Waitressing her way across the USA, she bumps into various other troubled souls including Jude Law, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. Undeniably beautiful, the film features the director's trademark visual sense - shimmering neons, bold contrasts, and swirling slow-motion images - making for a seductive view of America, one populated by swaggering, yet deeply melancholic drifters who listen to Otis Redding and drink too much.
