John Carpenter's under-rated remake of the 1951 classic actually follows the original source material (John W Campbell, Jr.s 'Who Goes There?') more closely. An alien organism terrorizes an Antarctic outpost and possesses the ability to change into anything it wishes, including the team members themselves! One of the slimiest films ever made. Carpenter regular Kurt Russell stars.
