The Lucky Ones
Three soldiers meet up en route back to the States from the Iraq War; Fred Cheaver (Tim Robbins), out for good, and keen to reunite with his wife and son; T.K. (Michael Pena) who suffered an embarrassing injury and is about to reconnect with his fiancee before heading back overseas; and the also-injured Colee Dunn (Rachel McAdams), on a mission to deliver a precious guitar to her deceased boyfriend's parents. When a black-out closes down the airport, the three strangers decide to rent a car and take an eventful trip cross-country. Balancing drama with humour, and with its engaging cast, this is an intimate observation of what it's like for soldiers to come back home.
