I've Loved You So Long

An intricate and intriguing French film that stars Kristin Scott Thomas as Juliette, a woman who has just been released from prison. Lea, her much younger sister, is a virtual stranger, but invites Juliette to come and stay with her family. Lea's husband is less enthusiastic about the new houseguest, and Juliette is struggling too, to come back to normal life. But even as she edges her way back into society, the question on everybody's mind, is why did Juliette commit the terrible crime she was convicted of? The directorial debut of French novelist Philippe Claudel won a host of plaudits from around the world including six Cesar nominations in its native France, and the BAFTA for Best Foreign Language Film.
