Barbara Hershey plays a woman grieving the death of her estranged daughter in this affecting drama. Returning to her desolate mining community hometown for the funeral, Hershey is surprised to learn she has a 10-year-old grandson, but her desire to care for the boy meets resistance from his father, a musician hiding secrets about his past.
