On November 19, 2005, a convoy of U.S. Marines was targeted by insurgents, resulting in the death of one of their soldiers. In retaliation, they went on a senseless rampage, slaughtering two dozen Iraqis, including many women and children. Accounts differ as to what happened that day and documentarian Nick Broomfield, in only his third feature film outing, is well aware there is always more than one side to a story. A close-up experience of the horrors of conflict, told from many differing perspectives, this is a bold and unflinching film reminding us that war, from wherever you're standing, is profoundly disturbing.
