M*A*S*H ( Blu-ray )

Director Robert Altman's innovative dark comedy about the everyday escapades of an Army medical unit during the Korean War stars Elliott Gould, Donald Sutherland, Sally Kellerman, Tom Skerritt, and Robert Duvall. The landmark anti-war film, which was seen as an allegory for America's involvement in Vietnam, garnered an Oscar for Ring Lardner, Jr. for his adaptation of Richard Hooker's novel. Trivia note: Actor Gary Burghoff was the only actor who made the transition to the popular, long-running tv series reprising his role as the lovable "Radar" (Corporal O'Reilly).
