War Horse
Based on Michael Morpurgo's childrens book and its subsequent stage adaptation, this powerful drama set against the backdrop of World War I follows young Albert (Jeremy Irvine) as his beloved horse Joey is sold to the French cavalry. As Joey impacts the lives of everyone he encounters during the war, Albert enters the fighting with hopes of being reunited with the steed - embarking on a journey of self-discovery along the way. With Emily Watson, Peter Mullan, David Thewlis; directed by Steven Spielberg.
