The Fly
Cronenberg's 'The Fly' is less a remake of the original film than a remake of the original short story about a brilliant scientist who develops a system to transport objects through space and reassemble the molecules in seconds. When an accident fuses his structure with that of a fly, the initial excitement turns to horror as the insect nature begins to exert itself. With an outstanding performance by Jeff Goldblum.
