Little Accidents

Tragedy hits a town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains when a mine collapses killing 10 of its workers. Economic crisis has already widened the gap between wealth and poverty in the area and the mining disaster only furthers tensions and distrust. Amos Jenkins is the sole survivor. When he returns home after a lengthy recuperation in the hospital he learns of a court case in which his testimony is crucial to victim compensation. Memory, however, proves unreliable. Exploring the ongoing ripple effects that pile up in the wake of tragedy, Little Accidents delivers a powerful and haunting mosaic of the moral divides and emotional binds shared by employers and workers, industry and community and parents and children.
