Far From the Madding Crowd (Blu-ray)

Based upon the classic novel by Thomas Hardy and set against the harsh, foreboding landscape of rural Victorian England, "Far From the Madding Crowd" details the trials and tribulations of the young, beautiful and fiercely independent Bathsheba Everdene (Julie Christie). Extremely passionate and utterly insatiable in gaining adoration from the opposite sex, Bathsheba manages to captivate the hearts and minds of three very different men: an honest and hardworking sheep farmer (Alan Bates), a wealthy but tortured landowner (Peter Finch) and a reckless and violent swordsman (Terence Stamp). But as emotions become entangled, free spirited and innocent folly soon leads to devasting tragedy.
