Shot in just two weeks for $25, 000, first-time director Neil LaBute adapted his own play for this pitch black comedy. It's a sharp take on modern misogyny and corporate culture with Aaron Eckhart as a cold-blooded yuppie who enlists a work colleague and buddy with a devious plan to get back at womanhood. 'Womanhood' in this case being a hearing-impaired secretary who becomes their unwitting target. Penetrating, excruciating and with pitch-perfect performances, it became a film festival hit worldwide, scooping up numerous awards including the Filmmaker's Trophy at Sundance. Co-stars Matt Malloy and Stacy Edwards.
