Barton Fink

The 44th winner of Best Film at Cannes was this dark comedy/thriller in which a renowned playwright (John Turturro) comes to 1941 L.A. to write a screenplay. Between writer's block, the intrusions of an eccentric neighbour (John Goodman) and peeling wallpaper, the writer spends a lot of time looking at blank paper. A clever noir comedy.
