A Shot in the Dark

Quite possibly the best of the Pink Panther films finds the illogically inept Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Peter Sellers) attempting to prove the innocence of a dark femme fatale (Elke Sommer). In Clouseau's search for the killer, he manages to subvert his superior and much of French society. Co-written by 'The Exorcist' author William Peter Blatty. The reliable team of director Blake Edwards and composer Henry Mancini performs its magic.
