To Kill a Mockingbird

Gregory Peck won an Oscar for his portrayal of Atticus Finch, the defence lawyer of a black man accused of rape in the American South. Scripted by Horton Foote, from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee, this is a sensitive and powerful drama about prejudice and integrity. Robert Duvall makes his film debut and Mary Badham plays Scout.
