German filmmaker Wim Wenders' documentary counterpart to the Grammy-winning album follows guitarist/musicoligist Ry Cooder on a trip to Havana and an encounter with some of Cuba's greatest musicians and singers, many of whom are found living in obscurity, which culminates with the "Club's" aging members giving a triumphant concert at New York's Carnegie Hall.
