Standing in the Shadows of Motown
Long-overdue tribute to The Funk Brothers, Berry Gordy's team of superlative musicians who backed such Motown giants as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Temptations and a legion of others on more number-one hits than any band in the history of rock. Reunited for the first time in 30 years, the Brothers sit down for a series of revealing interviews and are joined onstage by Bootsy Collins, Chaka Khan, Ben Harper, Joan Osborne and more for rousing renditions of some Motor City classics.
