Brassed Off

When a small Yorkshire mining town's pit is about to be closed, putting the town out of work, the miners' vote to strike at the same time the town's brass band practices for an upcoming competition. Ewan McGregor and Tara Fitzgerald shine as the two old friends and ex-lovers whose surprise reunion turns everything upside down.
