High Tension
This stalk-and-slash fright-fest from French director Alexandre Aja starts with two friends, Marie and Alexa, visiting family in the country. When night falls a mysterious stranger breaks in, murders the family and kidnaps Alex. Marie follows close, though not too close, behind, but can she save her friend in time? And is everything really as it seems? A relentless and fast-paced thriller that keeps the pressure on; for its US release it lost a full minute of gore.
