Take the Lead
Inspired by a true story, Antonio Banderas plays Pierre Dulaine, a prize-winning ball-room dancer who volunteers his services at one of the toughest schools in the Bronx. The prinicipal (Alfre Woodard) assigns him to the campus troublemakers and though they at first treat him with disdain, his skill and dedication eventually win them over. Banderas is suave as ever as the man who kicked off the school dance program as shown in the documentary 'Mad Hot Ballroom', and the real Pierre served as dance instructor for Antonio and the young cast.
