Becoming Jane

A romantic historical drama that speculates on events from Jane Austen's life and suggests there was a man in her life that may have been an inspriation to her. The daughter of a village reverend (James Cromwell), Jane resists an arranged marriage to a stuffy local nobleman, and instead falls for young Tom Lefroy (James McAvoy), a man with an adventurous heart. Also stars Julie Walters and Maggie Smith.
