The Shawshank Redemption

Director Frank Darabont's powerful adaptation of the novella by Stephen King stars Tim Robbins as a man serving two life sentences in New England's Shawshank Prison after being wrongly convicted of killing his wife and her lover. Resigned to his situation, Robbins learns to maintain hope in the most hopeless of circumstances with the help of fellow lifer Morgan Freeman. With James Whitmore, William Sadler.
