Lantana

This extraodinary psychological offering intricately meshes the elements of a murder mystery and a searing domestic drama. At the centre of this multi-character film is police detective Anthony LaPaglia, who is having an affair with Rachel Blake while his marriage to Kerry Armstrong is on the skids. Armstrong tells her troubles to psychiatrist Barbara Hershey, who is having domestic problems with husband Geoffrey Rush. Eventually, the unhappy lives of these and other characters collide when Hershey disappears one night and LaPaglia heads the investigation. "Wonderfully acted, complex, densely intelligent" - Variety
