Black Hawk Down
Director Ridley Scott's gut-wrenching military drama chronicles the doomed 1993 mission of American forces in the war-torn Somali capital of Mogadishu, sent to apprehend aides of a rebel warlord. When two Black Hawk helicopters are shot down, the surviving soldiers find themselves trapped and outnumbered in the city streets, and a desperate rescue mission is launched. The superb ensemble cast includes Eric Bana, Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Sam Shepard and Tom Sizemore.
