The bickering landlords from "Man About The House", George and Mildred Roper, are forced to move, allowing Mildred a chance to climb the social ladder and purchase a house in middle suburbia. Forever striving to rise to their new surroundings, Mildred is constantly betrayed by George and his working class roots. Equally dismayed are their new neighbours, headed by the snooty Jeffrey Fourmile, who fears he'll be forever "knee deep in ferrets and pigeon droppings"! Premiering 5 months after "Man About The House" came to an end, "George and Mildred" would go on to greater fame and huge audience numbers becoming a firm favourite with the public to this day. The entire first series contains all 10 episodes complete and uncut for the first time, including rare original ad caps.
