The youthful ideals of a New York teenager are set on a collision course with the realities and compromises of the adult world in "Margaret", a psychological drama from writer/director Kenneth Lonergan ("You Can Count On Me"). While out shopping in Manhattan one afternoon, 17 year-old high school student Lisa (Anna Paquin) inadvertently distracts a bus driver (Mark Ruffalo), resulting in a fatal accident. Racked with guilt, she spends the following weeks trying to set the record straight, but meets with opposition at every step. Torn apart with frustration, she begins emotionally brutalizing her family, her friends, her teachers, and most of all, herself. An "extraordinarily ambitious film" raves Time Magazine.
