A selection of documentaries by NHNZ on the wild wonders of nature in the deep south. 'Island of Strange Noises' (1980) takes us to the Antipodes Island where many strange species emit even stranger noises. In 'Living Together' (1980), the people of Dunedin, fur seals, albatross and yellow-eyed penguins co-exist around the city's harbour. 'As It Wasn't In the Beginning' (1982) is a look at Enderby Island after being over-run by cattle and rabbits and in 'Same Time Same Place' (1982), the Adelie Penguin is drawn to the same patch of Antarctica at the same time every year. In 'Sealion Summer' (1982) once again we are on sub-Antarctic Enderby Island, which becomes the breeding ground for the Hooker's sea lion every summer.
