Snow Angels
Another well-crafted drama from David Gordon Green ('Undertow', 'George Washington'), based on Stewart O'Nan's novel. Set in the snowbound suburbs of Pennsylvania, the film revolves around geeky teen Arthur (Michael Angarano) and divorced high school sweethearts Annie (Kate Beckinsale) and Glenn (Sam Rockwell), as their modest lives are tested by tragedy. A strong adaptation by Green and an excellent cast do the book justice; support also comes from Amy Sedaris, Tom Noonan, Griffin Dunne and Olivia Thirlby from indie hit 'Juno'.
