You Can Count on Me

This alternately funny and melancholy acclaimed comedy-drama focuses on two orphaned siblings, a charismatic drifter (Mark Ruffalo) and an uptight single mother with an 8-year-old son (Laura Linney), reuniting in their small hometown in upstate New York. Won two major awards, the Grand Jury Prize and the Ensemble Acting Award, at the Sundance Film Festival. Matthew Broderick co-stars. Martin Scorsese was one of the producers.
