Paradise Now

Golden Globe's Best Foreign Film is this taut drama concerning two Palestinian friends who have signed up to become suicide bombers. They are assigned a mission in Tel Aviv, they make videos saying goodbye to their families, receive haircuts and nice new suits and have bombs strapped to their bodies. Their plans, however, are about to go awry. A huge festival hit this powerful and emotionally rich film attempts to explain the inexplicable. A must-see.
